Tongue Piercing Community
I got my tongue pierced 13 days ago, after the first 4 days it stopped hurting, and the swelling started to go down. I used non-alcoholic mouthwash after everthing I ate, and salt water twice a day, and I cleaned my teeth/tongue twice a day to. My tongue then got a white/yellow coating on it, and there is also a crater around the piercing (i guess from where the bar lies, cos I still have the long one in). Is it normal for me to still have white/yellow coating, even though I've stopped mouthwash after everytime I eat, and I just use salt water twice a day and clean my teeth/tongue twice a day?? Also, a few days ago I noticed after I ate my tongue felt like I'd been eating too many sour sweets..and at the back it kind of itched, so i'd rubbed it against my teeth, and it then felt a bit weird, so I checked in the mirror..and like a patch of my tongue the yellow/top layer had come off...and the patch is getting bigger...it doesnt feel that uncomfortable, and I'm not sure that it is anything to do with the piercing, because it's nowhere near it. Any thoughts of what it could be? or has anyone else had a similar experience?
Also...(sorry for the massive rant) .. on the underneath of where the piercing goes in it's gone slightly white around the hole, is this just scar tissue? the piercing in no way shape or form is irritating/painful..or anything...so I'm guessing it's not infected? but i have no experience of this..so what do you guys think?? appreciate any comments you have :)
